Your AI Resume

The AI resume: a glossary

Corroboration

What is Corroboration?

Corroboration is independent sources agreeing about the same fact, which is what raises a machine's confidence in it above the level of a claim.

Who uses the term Corroboration?

Standard in entity SEO and in this publisher's other titles.

In everyday use it means much the same thing: something is corroborated when somebody other than the claimant says it too.

A claim is what you say about yourself. Corroboration is other people saying it without being asked.

Two properties you own repeating a fact is one source twice, not two sources. Independence is the whole property.

What does Online Reputation Management for Your AI Resume say about Corroboration?

The book's version is that a genuine record, built deliberately and corroborated widely, has never been more powerful, because the machines reward exactly what they can verify. Self-praise, it notes, is discounted by machines for the same reason it is discounted by people.
